Learning pen picks up mistakes as you write: A vibrating pen from Lernstift that is capable of picking up whether you've made spelling grammar errors as you write by delivering a vibration warning to the writer's hand.
A test prototype of the electronic pen has been programmed to recognise movements associated with each letter form. When a letter has been created oddly the electronic pen buzzes/vibrates in the user's hand.
The creators Falk and Mandy Wolsky expained in their website that the invention was inspired by their son's early days writinf attemps. The learning pen issues corrections without delays and cut down on the time taken to learn to write.
The pen is aimed to those people who are learning to write, and will also be useful for uncertain spellers. The inventors will launch a crowdfunding project during February, 2013 to raise money to develop and market the idea. Proposed improvements for future pens include adding pressure sensors, computer connectivity and an open platform to allow others to develop apps and expand the functionality of the pen.
